El Ayudante’s medical mission
provides medical attention to the most needy in the area of León. We partner with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health (MINSA) to identify the priorities for our ministry. Our on-campus medical clinic provides obstetric and gynecologic specialist care to women who do not have the resources or access to timely specialist care. Our medical brigades routinely attend to the needs of communities with poor access to health care.

Medical ministry opportunities are abundant, regardless of whether you are a medical professional. Certainly, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists and other medical professionals are needed to attend patients. We also use knowledgeable people to teach mothers and children on health care and hygiene issues. Everyone can support the medical ministry of El Ayudante by bringing needed medicines, medical supplies and equipment to be used in our clinic or in communities.
