The Children’s Home, Hogar Cristiano Nicaragüense (HCN), is a 11,000+ square foot child protection center consisting of:
12 bedrooms in two wings
4 classrooms for afternoon study/tutoring stations
a large den
a library/craft room
an office
kitchen/dining room
an observation room for the staff psychologist
and a laundry room
The present facility was completed in early 2005 with the Ministry of the Family placing the first children in our care on March 2, 2005. There are 30 children between the ages of 5 and 15 who call HCN “home.”
