A full-time
staff of 44 Nicaraguans are devoted to: the planning and
implementation of the numerous ministries into the city of Leon
and NW Nicaragua; operation of the child protection center; care
of mission teams; and upkeep of the grounds and facilities. Omar
R. Alvarado, Executive Director of El Ayudante, Inc. in
Nicaragua, oversees this staff which at various times includes
another 25 part-time workers (especially interpreters and
construction workers). The staff in Leon consider their jobs as
their call to ministry—an opportunity to serve their Lord and
